The blend of local Irish made furniture and hand-made accessories from international artisans, combined with original antiques from The Station House and it’s history as a busy railway junction, all combine to give the venue its unique feel and charm.

Some of the more unusual design features include: Hand-woven rugs from Jaipur in India, by ‘From Jaipur with Love’ (rugs designed together with founder and Irish lady, Elizabeth Morrison) Hand-made lighting from a wonderful set of talented crafts people including Mullan Lighting in County Cavan Beautiful fabrics from Christopher Farr Cloth, La Maison Pierre Frey, William Morris & Co.

, and Harlequin as well as wonderful Irish velvets Works of art adorn bedroom walls with ‘Van Gough’ cherry blossom wall-paper, and Zoffany woodland prints bringing the outside in Original paintings from local artist Deirdre Hoffman are combined with eclectic wall art through-out Deluxe mattresses and 300 thread-count Egyptian cotton bed linen through-out Organic Irish seaweed products from Voya and luxurious slippers, complimentary for each guest Smart TVs and high speed wifi The Story The Slattery family started to welcome guests in 1983 and launched the award winning Signal Restaurant on Easter Saturday night, 1984 with a bang! Since then, they and their team have won numerous awards and built a reputation for excellent food and service, using the freshest Boyne Valley produce, and ensuring that everything from the berry compote to the brandy and peppercorn sauce, is home-made to perfection! This food ethos carries through to each and every wedding at The Station House Hotel, making it not only a unique destination for it's beautiful gardens and historic charm, but also for it's wonderfully fresh and delicious dishes.

Features The original train station buildings and features have been lovingly restored by the Slattery's, and now sit on twelve acres of manicured gardens and woodlands, listed in the Boyne Valley Garden Trail.The original Signal Suite is the only one of its kind in Ireland and has been converted into a two storey honeymoon suite separate from the hotel, offering you complete privacy on your wedding day.The Station House has 19 bedrooms.

These can be held exclusively for you and your guests.The original stone Turntable, set amidst the woodland and hidden gardens, provides a truly mystical setting for your outdoor ceremony, whilst the Carriage Suite, originally the engine and goods room, is perfect for hosting elegant indoor ceremonies and celebrations with original granite stonework, wood panelling and seating for up to 180 guests.

The Carriage Suite: Once the locomotive workshop, it is now a beautiful and opulent banqueting hall.Working with the design team at Millimetre Design, Suzanne (Slattery) set out to create a wonderful garden themed space in the Carriage Suite, whilst preserving the original granite stone walls, panelling and key features such as the bar which is located to one end of the room.

For design lovers, features include exotic green veined marble set against brass hardware on the bar counter and bathroom vanities, William Morris wall-paper and antique mirror blend perfectly with the granite stone, whilst the hand-made Italian Murano chandelier in the foyer sets the tone for what lies ahead.

Once you enter the banqueting hall, the garden theme is apparent, with ceilings adorned with floral and foliage in amongst an array of chandeliers, whilst each of the windows are dressed with fresh eucalyptus bringing a beautiful aroma as you enter.Crisp white linen on the tables sets off the herringbone wood floor and the Louis XVI style chairs, designed and chosen for comfort as well as style.

For larger numbers (160 or more), classic cream Chiavari chairs work equally well against the wood floor and the garden theme.For the tech lovers, there is a newly installed AC and heating system ensuring the temperature is perfect all year round, a ceiling projector for use during speeches, and adjustable lighting scenes aimed to provide the perfect ambience through-out your day.

The Carriage Suite can also used for beautiful indoor ceremonies against a cream linen back-drop and romantic candle lanterns framing the aisle.The award winning Signal Restaurant, has many accolades such as; AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence Lucinda O’ Sullivan recommended Georgina Campbell recommended Best Hotel Restaurant Ireland.The Signal Restaurant is perfect for more intimate gatherings or micro-weddings, seating up to 90 people comfortably.
